Punning Pundit osterzl There are a couple of things that I would have like to have seen that might have made me want to replay it. One would have been the inclusion of the original games as unlockables. The game is short enough that I would have played through it a few times to unlock even a few different versions of the older DD games. The other would have been possible adding in some kind of battle arena or other way for you to pit your character and mixtape combo against other players to see how yours stacked up.If you have a chance I would recommend checking out the iOS version of Double Dragon from Aksys. One of the reasons I played that one so much as that you could unlock all of the enemy characters to play through the game with. Each one had their own moves including the bosses. It was a nice touch.

osterzl Ah! That all makes sense. I had thought that there were different ways you could combine the mixtapes to (say) make kicks stronger but not punches, or have more combos, but only aerial attacks or something. Maybe create a tank with low hit points, or a fast/DPS character with 0 hp. But it sounds like there aren't really decisions to make, or at least not very varied decisions. That's a bit disappointing.

Yeah Neon is only on XBLA and PSN right now. I played through the PSN. As for the replay value the experiences is going to be the same every time you play it. There are no branching paths or extra to unlock so unless you want to play through it again with other people the mixtapes just didn't have the draw to keep me coming back. Also the jokes and one-liners get kind of played out by the end of the game.

Just want to confirm that this is on both PSN and XBLA? (And not steam?) Which console did you play it on? Were the controls responsive? I've had some experiences with sluggish input controls that ruined what otherwise might have been great games! The mixtape idea seems like it would extend the life of the game quite a bit- if the core-gameplay is good, experimenting with different builds could be a fun way to do multiple playthroughs. Yet your review says that the game doesn't really have much replay value. I'm curious as to why not.

Punning Pundit I never really checked out Halo Wars since I'm not a huge fan of RTS, but friends of mine have enjoyed the game for countless hours and it plays like its supposed to, with its different factions. Halo Wars is up for sale on the Xbox Live Marketplace for $29.99 should you not be able to find a hard copy.
